Some lights continue shining even as the day comes to an end.

“Last Light” captures the historic Biloxi Lighthouse standing illuminated against the Mississippi Gulf Coast as deep blue skies fade into brilliant shades of orange and red along the horizon.

After completing the Alabama portion of our journey, Lana and I continued west along the Gulf Coast with another mission ahead of us:

Create Mississippi’s photograph for The American Road Collection.

We arrived in Biloxi and found one of Mississippi’s most recognizable landmarks standing watch over the coast—the Biloxi Lighthouse.

As daylight disappeared and the lighthouse began to glow against the changing sky, everything came together.

And #005 was born.

This image has been selected as Edition #005 of The American Road Collection, created as Travis, Lana & Kora travel thousands of miles across America—attempting to visit 58 Buc-ee’s locations across 14 states in 21 days while creating an entirely new fine-art collection along the way.

Mississippi gave us the Gulf Coast, a glowing horizon and a lighthouse standing bright against the fading day.
